Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage make outstanding progress because of excellent leadership and super teaching. They quickly learn the routines and skills that serve them very well as they move through the school.

In the EYFS we are committed to providing a broad, balanced and appropriately differentiated curriculum within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. In conjunction with parents we set targets for our children to ensure that they achieve as much as they can in all areas of development.

We follow the seven areas of the Early Years Curriculum:

* communication and language

* physical development

* personal, social and emotional development

* literacy

* mathematics

* understanding the world

* expressive arts and design

We always remember that every child is unique and plan experiences to engage and motivate each individual. Play is a very important part of our day and we plan and resource exciting play activities using our indoor and outdoor areas.
