COVID-19 response - March 2020

During this period of home-learning, please remember that we are always on hand if you need any help or advice. You can email me on the class email address with any questions and you should have all received an email from me detailing useful websites and activity suggestions to keep your little Green Frogs busy! You are under no pressure to access any of this; all we want is for you and your child to remain healthy and happy!

Keep an eye out for a weekly newsletter from me every Friday, containing some new ideas to keep your little ones engaged. The school Facebook group also has some lovely examples. I would love for you to share photographs and videos of what you and your Green Frog have been getting up to through the Evidence For Learning app.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

In English we have been busy designing our own superheroes! We thought of our own superhero name and what special powers we could have. We designed a mask and wore a cape and then we saved the world! It's hard work being a hero so we enjoyed some role play too!

It was our last session at Rock and River today. Green Frogs have really enjoyed this experience and have made some great memories. Today we did canoeing. Some of us felt a little scared but once we got on the water we all enjoyed ourselves. We did some racing and steered the canoe in different directions. What a great end to this adventure!

The sun was shining! We went orienteering today, we looked at a map and had to find certain places and objects. We were really good at doing this! We had an other turn at archery as we had enjoyed this so much the last time.

Today at Rock and River we did some rifle shooting. We all took turns to load the gun and shoot it at the target. It was very important to be safe and wear protective goggles. It was such good fun!

Finally we explored possible theories on the Dinosaur extinction. One table looked at how a volcano might have wiped out the dinosaurs and they experimented with making their own volcano. The other table explored how an ice age might have wiped out the dinosaurs and they experimented by trying to free model dinosaurs from an ice block.
