A warm welcome to Kingsbury Primary School.
I am Fiona Grieveson, headteacher of Kingsbury Primary School, a special school for pupils with Generic Learning Difficulties. We have been very successfully co-located with our partner school, Brookfield Park School, a mainstream primary school, for 5 years.
Children from both schools have many opportunities to mix in work and play. We share several joint activities throughout the year such as winter pantomimes, visits from cultural groups and a wealth of fundraising activities. The children come together to experience an all- inclusive atmosphere.
We meet the needs of statemented pupils aged 2 – 11. The ‘Generic’ nature of our population continues to grow and we currently cater for pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties including those with Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Significant Learning Difficulties and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
We are an ‘Outstanding’ school where ‘ all groups of pupils make outstanding progress’ and ‘pupils thoroughly enjoy coming to school’ as written by Ofsted in our most recent inspection in October 2013.
We welcome visits to both our school and website so that you can find out more about us and what we provide for our pupils. Please browse this site for further details.
Many thanks,
Fiona Grieveson BEd (Hons); BPhil MSI; NPQH
